God gathers the sweetest souls for a heavenly bouquet. The God of all compassion holds your Ms. Phyllis in his arms. I pray that he may also carry Donna, and Joey and all the Coursey family during this difficult time. May this scripture encourage you Psalms 68:19. Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

It is hard for me to believe that such a bright light is gone so suddenly. We worked together for years and Phyllis always had a kind word or an encouragement every time we spoke but... After I left PSEG to Pastor she would send me these amazing comments on things I had posted of Facebook. Always encouraging, always lifting me through professional changes and personal trials she was there. She was a good friend, she is a good friend for I will see her again.

So here we are now standing on the tee of that long 1st hole, looking down the fairway and thinking about the beautiful times we had with Phyllis on the golf course. We canât ever forget the hours that we spent with her just chasing that little white ball â" always striving to play better than the last time. Weâll miss this awesome lady with such a beautiful, compassionate spirit.

Donna and "Joey", may I express my deepest condolences, in the loss of your mother. I have so many years of fond memories of Phyllis. She sang in the same Young Adult choir as my mother. As a young girl, I loved to listen to her mellow 2nd soprano voice. I remember being so impressed, as I listened to her sing "Blowin' in the Wind". I've always admired her refined sense of style and grace.
As an adult, I'd grown to interact with Phyllis, within the scope of our Sister Circle, more like an older sistah. Although about the same age as her children, she always treated me with respect. She was the wise and mature "voice of reason" within our group. Because Phyllis enjoyed new experiences, she knew something about everything. Our circle often traveled together, tried new restaurants to celebrate birthdays, etc. Phyllis believed in tough love, but had a compassionate heart of gold. I will miss her laughter, optimistic view, supportive nature, and the warm big sister kind of embraces we shared, whenever greeting or departing each others company. Although there was no departing hug, our last phone conversation remains very vivid. That will just have to hold me, until we hook up again.
Blessings and strength for your family, through this journey.

Hearing about your loss has deeply saddened me. I will never forget being paired up with Phyllis on August 15th for a Greens Ladies club round at Freeway. She was gracious, classy, stylish, fun, encouraging, and her beautiful spirit will continue to inspire all of us to play better. I also remember Phyllis leading our club in prayer that day. She began by simply saying: Hello God. Its me Phyllis. What followed was a deep and heartfelt talk with God. Phyllis is now at rest in His arms. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Very sad to get the news today that Phyllis has passed. We met in the seventies during the construction of the Hope Creek Generating Station, and worked closely together from 1990 to 1995 at PSE&G. She was always upbeat, happy, and had sage advice for me. She will be missed. May the Lord be with her and her family.

Although my cousin through marriage (blood relative of my wife's), I've known her for 23 years and felt as close to her as I do my own flesh and blood. We were just starting to deal with the reality that Phyllis was ill when she transitioned from this dimension, beloved by many. Phyllis was truly a compassionate, intelligent, beautiful, elegant and classy lady, who shared my passion for Jazz. I never saw Phyllis upset nor heard her raise her voice at anyone for any reason. I thank God for having had the opportunity to know her.
May the Good Lord comfort her daughter, Donna Coursey and son, Donald Coursey during this difficult time.
