Minnie is my favorite CNA. She said I was her favorite nurse too. I believe her. I don’t really know if she told someone else that. We used to tease each other at night about one of the residents who thought I was his girlfriend but he “married” Minnie and she was his wife in the Redwood Unit. Work in the rehab unit is bearable when she’s around. She does her work well and then some of the others work for them too. We used to scold her about it because it wears her down but she still does it time and time again. I would bring food that I baked or cooked to work and bring extra for her to bring home as she was very appreciative all the time. She is a gentle, kind and loving friend to all. I prayed she would get better but God had other plans. As they say good people die early. Minnie, rest well, no more worries, no more pain. Will miss you a lot. Your memory will live on in our minds and hearts and I am glad I am your friend. Such a great woman to have known.

Q: How would you describe Aurelia to someone who had never met them? A: She is the kindest, quietest, strongest one who will help with anything she is asked to do. Her smile is comforting and reassuring. She never complained and you knew it was going to be a good night when Miss Minnie was on the schedule.

Mom, It's 1:38 in the morning and I'm in tears because I need you. I haven't seen you in 7 days which is an eternity. This is not how it's supposed to be. I worked with Miss Minnie for may years. She was a great CNA. Hard worker and compassionate. Beautiful person inside and out. The whole Laurel Manor miss and love Her dearly. RIP Min. Be strong Arley. She's in heaven smiling and watching over us. May Her wonderful memories ease the pain your family is going through.
