Harvey Verland Folks III, of Camden, NJ, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 87. He was born to Harvey V. Folks, Jr and Lillian Folks on January 9, 1937, in Palmyra, NJ. Harvey was raised and educated in the Palmyra School District where he graduated and went on to serve in the Military. He was honorably discharged and went on to work at Local Laborers Union 222 where he worked until he retired after over 30 years of service. He was a devout church member and later became an ordained Deacon at his home church of Rock of Ages in Camden, NJ “Buddy” or “Pop” as he was affectionately known as, was a skilled outdoorsman from hunting deer to fishing and was known for his recycled barbecue grills he made for family as well as neighbors and friends. He and his wife became a cornerstone family on 9th Street always lending a helping hand and caring for folks in the community.  He was preceded in death by his older sister Joan, his brother Ronald Folks, his son Dale Baylor and his daughter Joan Folks. Harvey Folks is survived by his wife Sadie Folks, his brothers Meryl P. Folks, James Folks, William Folks, his sister Leah Lopez, his children James and Betty Folks, Sheliah and Frank Greene, Gregory and Renee Baylor, Kevin Baylor, Robert and Valerie Baylor, Marshelle Williams, Joseph and Nivia Williams, a host of grands, great-grands and great-great grandchildren, family and friends.
