Sarah Elizabeth Daley Bonelli, better known as “Ada” born to George and Mary Jane Daley on
July 17, 1939, on the island of Montserrat, British West Indies in the village of Salem. Sarah,
being the youngest of seven children, travelled to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands at the age of 17
to continue her trade and work. Sarah worked at the watch factory as a supervisor for many
years. When the factory closed, she later was employed by the Government of the US Virgin
Islands Education department. Mom Sarah worked as a Cook feeding over 3,000 children daily.
She was promoted to a management position as a supervisor for many years until her
retirement in 2001. Upon retirement she moved to the state of New Jersey and lived in the
towns of MT Laurel, Cherry Hill, Delran and Medford. Her retirement years were filled with the joy
of caring for foster babies through the Catholic Charities Baby Border foster care program in
Perth Amboy, NJ.Her passion was taking care of children that were motherless and fatherless
her entire adult life. Sarah accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1998 which was her
greatest and notable joy. Sarah and her husband Irvin “Binks” Bonelli were wed in St. Thomas
USVI in 1978 and they are survived by their children Melba Bonelli Henderson (David
Henderson) and Irvin “Dusty” Bonelli. Angela Bonelli, Nicole Bonelli and William “BJ” Bonelli.
They have 3 surviving God Children: Jacquline Johnson, Annette Gerard and Donna
McCullough and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father
George Daley, Mother MaryJane Daley, her husband Irvin “Binks”Bonelli, her brothers Joseph
Barzey, John “Harper” Daley, Joseph “Ham” Daley, sisters Ellen Saldana, MaryAnne Sweeney
and Miriam Pemberton. Sweet be your rest Sarah until we meet again.
