Q: How did you meet Robin? A: I met Robin as Rob Mersier through my sister Ruth. He was helping her with a place to stay while she was looking for her next step in her life. My sister struggled with mental illness and drug addiction. I got to know how caring Rob was by talking to him and seeing how he cared about my sister. When she took his car and ended up in mental hospital around the same area I picked Rob up and took him to get his car. We both together went to get things to help my sister while she was in mental hospital. We slowly became more than friends. We married a year later and I cherished the time we had together. I am only sorry he didn't spend more time with his children before he parted this life. I encouraged him to keep in touch. My daughter and his daughter 's son shared the same birthday. I became closest with his daughter Renee and am sorry I haven't been in touch since his passing 9 years ago. I pray his children are doing well and to know he loved them and talked fondly about them.
