Obituary of John Henry Frazier, Sr.
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Henry Frazier, Sr. (DAD), the son of the late John Henry Frazier and Bessie Fields was born on March 15, 1921 in Tuskegee, AL. After serving in the Army during World War II, He moved to Camden, NJ in 1946 and met his beloved future wife Emma Coleman. They were soon married and later blessed with their only son John Jr. John and Emma were blessed in celebrating 66 years of wedding bliss on March 4, 2012.
John worked for Sears Roebuck for over 25 years until retirement and worked for CamCare along with his wife Emma until God in his infinite wisdom called her home on June 17, 2012.
John was a member of his ‘extended family’ at First Refuge Baptist Church for almost 40 years where he was active as a trustee and helping to maintain the church grounds. He continued to maintain his faith even when he was unable to attend his beloved church with the help of his good friend Deacon Bill Johnson providing company, performing communion and extending prayer services for him in the comfort of his own apartment.
John was an active and independent man who cared deeply for his family and friends. Along with his love for God, he loved baseball, talking politics, gardening and his Atlanta Braves.
On November 13, 2016 the Almighty God called for the return of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Father-in-law, and good friend John Henry Frazier, Sr.
