Please share a memory of Willis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A Quiet Soul...
Willis H. Gray, III was born on September 17, 1971, at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. as a blessed gift from God to Willis H. Gray, Jr. and Carol Maxine Richardson Gray. He returned to rest in Christ on November 27, 2016.
Willis was educated in the Philadelphia School System attending St. Raymond's Catholic Elementary School, Wilson Middle School and Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School. Willis always wanted to be a barber and took classes, and worked as a laborer to fulfill his dream of opening his own shop.
Willis' joy was the birth of his son, Tamir Willis Gray, whom he loved and adored. He relocated to Binghamton, NY where he met and married the love of his life, Marylou McCarthy Gray in 2003. They had a unique union of love which included a blended family of three children Tamir, Jamie, and Cameron and six grandchildren. And, as diverse as their family dynamics were they managed to sustain a faith based, fun-filled and loving home environment which produced a lifetime of memories for all.
Willis touched the lives of many with his generosity and kindness. He was a quiet, gentle spirit who will be sorely missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marylou. Left to cherish the warm memories of Willis are his grandmother, Dorothy Gray; mom and dad, Willis and Maxine Gray; brothers, Jason and Rick Sr;, god-sister, Katrina Frazer (Tony); children, son Tamir, stepson Cameron, stepdaughter Jamie; six grandchildren; two nephews, Rick Jr., Jaiden, two nieces, Mariah, Trezur Maxine, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
