Obituary of Larry Littlejohn

Larry “Stretch” Littlejohn, 54 of Bridgeton, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Cooper Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Matthew Petty and Dorothy Martin. Larry moved to Bridgeton, N.J at a young age, and remained a resident all his life. Larry became a member of Abundant Life Praise and Worship Center, Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Everett Sr, where he met his wife Gloria Everett and were married on January 23, 2008. While there, he served as a Deacon and a leader of the Men’s Department. Prior to his retirement, Larry had been employed by Bradway Trucking, Big Rock Transportation and One Son Trucking. Larry will be remembered and forever cherished by his wife, Gloria Littlejohn, Bridgeton, NJ; his mother Dorothy Martin, and stepmother Bernice Petty of Shelby, North Carolina; four sons, Larry Deshields, Therron Green, Tyrone Green, and Kendale Littlejohn all of Bridgeton, NJ; two stepsons, Jeffrey Everett, and Michael Everett of Millville, NJ; three stepdaughters, Rachel Wells, Crystal Wells and Ashley Wells of Millville, NJ; a brother Rev. Tony (Marcella) Petty of Gaffney, South Carolina; four sisters, Janett Petty, Tracy Petty, and Michelle Petty of Shelby, NC, Sylvia Petty of Rutherford, NC; one Goddaughter Tyesha White; God brother Andre Horne, Philadelphia, PA. Larry also leaves and a host of grandchildren, family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Littlejohn; stepfather Deacon Walter Martin, and his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Edward Littlejohn.
