Obituary of Richard Keith Butler Sr.

Richard Keith Butler, Sr., was born June 10, 1955 in Bridgeton, NJ to Alex Green and Lydia Bragg. He was raised in Gouldtown, New Jersey where he attended Gouldtown Elementary School and graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1974. He started work at Kimbel Glass right after high school. Richard married Gloria Shepard on June 23, 1979 and from this union Lakaisha, Richard Jr. and Christopher were born. Richard departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 while at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Lakaisha Cann and Christopher Butler, his girlfriend; Elizabeth "Liz" Gay, his sisters Virginia Wright (Shawn) of Delaware, Alice Lamar of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, brothers; David Butler (Annette) and Edward Butler(Thelma) of Garner, North Carolina, Joseph Butler (Barbara) San Diego, California, stepbrothers; Thomas Snow of Camden, New Jersey and Levi Snow of Pennsgrove, New Jersey, one uncle; Henry(Dave) Walker (Eileen) of Bridgeton, New Jersey ,three aunts; Hattie Smith ,of Tennessee , Meddie Williams of Williamstown, New Jersey and Thelma Robinson of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Butler Jr, his mother; Lydia Walker Butler Bragg, his father; Alex Green, stepfather; Thomas Snow and two sisters Denise and Delores Butler.
