Shirley Ann Johnson was born on September 12, 1950 to the late Mrs. Clydie Mae Johnson and the late Andrew Johnson, Sr. in Shellman, GA.
She departed this life on May 21, 2017. Preceding her in death are 4 brothers; Charlie Johnson Sr., MJ Johnson, Henry Johnson Sr., Freddie Johnson Sr. , and two Sisters: Mary L. Cannon and Carrie Starling.
She was educated in the public school system in Randolph County GA.
At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member under the leadership of Rev. E.D Hill.
Shirley Ann moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1968 along with her sister Lonzie Mae Gilbert.
Ann was employed at the Marriott Hotel for over 10 years.
Ann was united in marriage with Clifton Hickman and together they lovingly raised their son Nafese Hickman and grandson Tyreke Johnson.
Ann & Cliffton joined Yesha Ministries in 1998 and served as faithful members until their untimely death on May 21, 2017. Ann also was an active member of the neighborhood watch within her community. She was known to be kind and warm hearted. If you had a need, she would do whatever she could to help you. She lovingly referred to everyone as “baby”.
Shirley Ann leaves to cherish, (2) sons, Willie E. Johnson (Shellman GA) and Nafese Crawford-Hickman (Phila), (1) daughter, Angela Johnson (Phila); (3) sisters, Annie Marcus, Nellie Shepard (Shellman GA); Lonzie Gilbert (Phila); (3) brothers, Andrew Johnson; Sammie Johnson, Willie M. Johnson (Shellman GA); (4) Sister-in-laws, Pearlie Johnson, Grace Johnson, Hattie Johnson (Shellman, GA) and Rose Johnson (Miami, FL); (1) brother-in-law, Isaac Cannon (Cuthbert, GA) (5) grand children; Diamond Jackson, Tyree Jackson, Trevarrious Johnson, Demarrious Johnson and Janiece Moore (4) Great-grand children; Jahirie Moore, Ka’mory Jackson, Milani Johnson, D’Marrion Johnson and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
