Hello, my name is Yvonne. I am very sorry that your child has fallen asleep in death. I have often heard it said that there is no loss like the loss of a child; after losing my child in death years ago, I came to truly understand its meaning. It has been over 3 decades since I lost my child but the pain is still present and it still requires all that I have some days to keep going. Since no two losses are the same, I have no idea what you are feeling at this time but please know that with God’s help all things are possible. He has promised that those who have fallen asleep in death will awaken and will see their loved ones again (Revelations 21:3-4 & Acts 24:15). The link below will lead you to a brochure that helped me tremendously to cope and I am sure it will do the same for you.

After I read about Nigel's recent death after just 38 way too short years of precious life, I wanted to express my feelings of sympathy for the Connelly family and friends. I know Nigel has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18), understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Most of us have seen this enemy death claim the lives of people dear to us. But Jehovah God promises to destroy this enemy, death, once and for all. Rev. 21: 4; tells us: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Isaiah 25: 8, 1 Corinthians 15: 26) I pray it will bring you comfort to please watch this short, faith strengthening video: "Can The Dead Really Live Again?"
