During a visit back home to Roanoke last summer, Willie Albert was in town as well. The fun Shirley, Wesley, and I had with him will always be cherished. To the family, please know that I extend my deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your loved one - Willie Albert will truly be missed.

My condolences to the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Willie and my late husband, Bobby Baker, came to the Philadelphia area together in 1965. Willie has been like a brother to me and an uncle to my children. We will truly miss him.

It is with a heavy heart that I send this note of comfort to the family of my brother Willie Albert Edmonds.
I regret that I am unable to attend his funeral service due
to health problems. My dialysis treatments are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and I unfortunately
will be in dialysis the day of his funeral.
Willie and I were members of a loving family here in Roanoke,
Virginia. Raised by our parents Virginia and Willie Albert Edmonds,
Sr until their passing many years ago. Our other brothers, Nelson
Stevens and Jerry Berry, my twin brother, both of whom are now deceased shared many great family celebrations together
and the passing of Willie has left another empty place in the
hearts of his remaining family in Roanoke.
Please know that I would love to be there with you, but God had other plans for all of us.
I pray that this message of encouragement will ease your sorrow and help you to remember Willie and all the special memories
you shared with him.
May Jesus' arms of comfort hold you close to Him and brighten
your tomorrows.
Uncle James Berry

Willie, Arlene and I had dinner together with Will on his last night in Roanoke(Dec. 26) before his return to his home in Georgia. Having had so much fun, it was a shock to hear of his sudden death. May you, his family, find comfort in the many memories of your loved one as we will of our friend and classmate.
