Obituary of Yolanda C Leonard
Yolanda C. Leonard was born on June 15, 1969 and passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, New Jersey. In 2014, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She resided in Ewing Township, New Jersey for over forty years and then spent the past six years in southern New Jersey. In 1983, Yolanda graduated from St. Anthony Grammar School in Hamilton, New Jersey. In 1987, she graduated from Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey.
Yolanda was a sweet, innocent, kind-hearted soul who loved spending time with her sister, Racine; niece, Jacinta; and other family members. She enjoyed dining out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She was a connoisseur of Chinese food and candy.
She passionately watched classic television shows from the 1950’s, the 1960’s and the 1970’s. Her favorite situation comedies were The Jeffersons and Good Times. Every weekday evening, she looked forward to watching the television game shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Her all-time favorite movie was the 1971 film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
For the past six years, she attended an adult day program where she worked on life skills, vocational skills, and social skills in a fun environment. She took delight in the day program’s activities and greatly celebrated when she won the bingo game prize.
She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Mamie Leonard and her brother, Terry Fulton. She is survived by her devoted sister, Racine L. Davis (Ron); nieces, Jacinta Lael, Teri Marquitta, and Myia; first cousin, Mikal S. Muhammad (Raja); and her residential caregiver, Mrs. Brenda Peterson. Yolanda’s survivors rejoice that she has reunited with her parents and other loved ones who have gone Home to be with the Lord.
