Obituary of Demeeka S. Williams

Please share a memory of Demeeka to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Demeeka Sequan Steward (Williams) was born on October 10, 1979 in Queens, New York to Divine Leroy Steward Jr. and Debora Anderson. She unexpectedly departed this life on June 19, 2020 at Christiana Hospital in Christiana, DE. Raised by her paternal grandparents Leroy Sr. and Viola Steward since age 5, Demeeka was educated in the New York City Public School System. She graduated from John Adams HS in 1996 and was immediately introduced into the world of dentistry. In 2005 wanting to be closer to her grandparents, Demeeka later relocated to Bear, DE where her grandparents retired. Demeeka driven by her passion for dentistry attended Delaware Technical Community College in Wilmington, DE becoming certified as a Dental Assistant. Demeeka was excited about her accomplishment and bright career waiting ahead. Demeeka worked for Smile Brite Dental Care, for 13yrs where she began to advance her skills becoming an asset to the company. Clients described her as having that “IT” factor and the MOST BEAUTIFUL SMILE! Family values were instilled in her from a young age and she cherished her family her entire life. One of Demeeka’s greatest desire was to be a wife and mother. On February 11, 2017 Maurice Williams (Reese or Husband as she called him) was blessed to take her hand in marriage. With some uncertainties of fertility on May 17, 2018 Daddy God blessed Demeeka with the greatest gift she could ever imagine HER DAUGHTER Hadarah. This was a love and joy she could not describe. Demeeka Williams’s desire for family had been fulfilled. Demeeka the mom, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, auntie, cousin, employee, friend and Evangelist Elect loved to read and write. Demeeka was a “Fashionista”! Demeeka loved to shop and buy what she loved and loved what she bought. Demeeka’s love for makeup and fashion was unmatched though she was a natural beauty. Spending time with her husband, daughter and family was her delight. Demeeka enjoyed laughter and was no doubt the hippest oldest sister and cousin, staying in the know of all the latest trends. Demeeka inherited a love for music from her Dad. Singing on the Junior Choir at First Freedom Baptist Church. Ordained as Deaconess at Community Outreach Church. Evangelist Elect at Spirit & Truth Deliverance Ministries. Demeeka’s love for Christ remained and she lived her life after HIM. Demeeka will be missed VERY MUCH! So, while you remember her and she comes to your thoughts…speak her name, Demeeka, and be filled with love from her heart to yours. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Maurice Williams; children: Daughter Hadarah Maleigh Williams; Step-son Jayden Williams and Step-daughter Amiyah Williams; Father Divine Steward; Mother Debora Anderson; Grandparents Leroy and Viola Steward; Siblings Jazmaine, Nakeya, Sharabia, R-Mell, Julia, Hasun, Tiffany, Na-Quasia, Kyron, Shatanna, Tiona, Aiyanna, Danielle, Samiyah, Hope and Prince; aunts, uncles and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and sister-friends. Demeeka was preceded in death by her Sister Latoya Cannady and Maternal grandparents George and Susie Anderson.
