Obituary of Dennis C Perry,Jr.

Dennis C. Perry, Jr. was born November 27, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia to the parentage of Mr. Dennis C. Perry, Sr. who preceded him in death and Mrs. Johnann Doles Perry. On Sunday, August 16, 2020, Dennis C. Perry, Jr. was given his “HEAVENLY WINGS” inEdgewater Park, New Jersey.
Dennis was blessed with a full life, comprised of family, friends, associations and most importantly …. LOVE. Growing up as a child and maturing into a young man, he was always inquisitive. He was always “mischievous” and he really believed it was okay.
He was educated in the Norfolk Public School System, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1964. He attended Norfolk State University (NSU) graduating with the class of 1968.
Dennis is a Life Member of the Junior Bachelors Social Club (JBs).
After graduating from NSU, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his country stateside as well as in Germany and Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from Military, Dennis and family moved to Willingboro, New Jersey, where he was employed as a Sales Representative for U. S. Lines and Seafood.
Dennis had a great passion for the game of GOLF. He was a member of the Freeway Golf Course“Black Country Club” where he formed friendship with all he contacted. He was a long-time member of the National Negro Golf Association (NNGA) where he served as Tournament Director for several years.
Dennis was united in matrimony to Carolyn, to this union, two sons were born, Dennis C. Perry, III and Devin C. Perry.
Memories will be cherished by his wife, Carolyn;two sons, Dennis, III (Monica),and Devin and. One granddaughter, Avery.
He isalso survived by his Mother, Johnann Perry; three brothers: Dale (Vivian) Perry, Welch, MN., Earl S. Perry, Savannah, Ga., and Bishop (Brenda) Perry, Oakton, Va. and one sister, Eunice McBane, and a host of relatives and friends who will sorely miss his loving care and guidance.
