Obituary of James Lee Singleton

James Lee Singleton was born on October 7th 1965 in Darlington South Carolina to the late Maggie Singleton. James was called home on Saturday September 19th 2020. He was surrounded by his family at his sister's home. James came to live in Philadelphia at a very young age with his late Aunt Mary McClain. His mother Maggie Singleton joined them shortly thereafter. James was educated through the Philadelphia Public School system, upon graduation James secured employment with a poultry factory. He worked for many years until an unexpected illness set in and caused him to become disabled. James didn't give up he continued to press forward. He would do whatever he could to help anyone in any way to keep busy. He would also take odd jobs to make ends meet. James was a good soul who would do anything for anyone. At the age of 31 he received an unexpected blessing. His first born son and only child James Lee Singleton Jr was born. James was so excited and happy to know that he would have someone to call his own. James affectionately known as “Tweet” to his family and Radio to his friends.
Proceeded in death by his mother Maggie Singleton his grandmother Elvira Singleton and his baby sister Nicole Singleton
James leaves to cherish his memory: Sisters Mary, Elvira, and Monique Sister-in-law: Vitta Brothers Jay and Jacob brother-in-laws: Michael and Maurice ,Nieces: Chynda ,Octavia ,Nicole, Olivia ,Brianna , Amina6 Nephews: Reginald, Oliver, Michael Richard, Jay Jr and Jacob Jr 6 Uncle's: Robert, James, Gary, Randy, Ronnie ,Julius Lee and a host of great nieces and nephews cousins and many Friends.
He also leaves to cherish his memory his extended family. Antonio, Randy, Demetrius, Alexander, Steel, Bill, Tim, Tony, Mama, Tanya, Steve, Pearl, Danny, Alando, Tammy, Sarge, Eric, Faith and Calvin. He Loved his extended family and they loved Radio and nothing but death could keep him from them.
