Brenda was a very special woman, we hit it off the first time I was introduce to her by another security guard at DMV. We would talk about everything! She even invited me to the Bible Studies doing lunch! She loved the Lord! When she retired we kept in touch with each other! I’m truly going to miss her! Family be strong in the Lord! May she rest in sweet peace!

Brenda was a friend and a sister. We lost contact for a while but reconnected the past few years. We telephoned each other often and talked about the past, present, importance of family and God. She will be deeply missed. Praying for Ric and the family.

Brenda was the first person to greet me when I went to the "Systems" unit at Motor Vehicles. She was kind, helpful, and so very smart. She knew that old DMV system and taught me everything she knew, which was a lot. Resetting passwords, unsuspending logon ids, Word Perfect, Excel, yes many now considered old, but back then quite complex especially to me since I was new. From there our friendship grew. We had great love for our only children. Her precious Ric and my daughter Heather. I found out that young Ric had a love for college hoops. Well that allowed me an extra bonus of having a friendship with him as he was growing up. He treated my love and limited knowledge of the game with respect. Every March Brenda would hand me Ric's brackets and hand him mine. We'd discuss our picks and for me I had gained the son I never had. I will miss this beautiful brilliant woman forever. But I'm so glad and privileged to have known her. I recently told Ric she was the sister of my soul. She gave me the faith I never had. Rest In Peace dear Brenda I know light will shine on us all from your soul.

Mom is what I called her and every since I was a teenager, she knew when me & Ric was up to no good. She would always keep that candy jar full for me and always considered me and Ric as brothers. I love and will miss her.

Brenda was always kind and soft spoken. I loved her laugh.
We had many meaningful conversations during her time of convalescence. She was a prayerful woman who always talked about God and her faith in Him. I will miss our conversations. She was sweet. Rest well Sister!
My condolences to Ric and Mitsy (sp). You're in my prayers
Aunt Vanessa

Growing up, I always stared at aunt Brenda because she was always the only one around with my own light skinned complexion. She was pretty and also the one person around who looked just like Pop-pop. Although aunt Brenda and I rarely saw each other, she had tenderness of heart that radiated love, affection, and warmth like a fireplace. To prove it, she did what people don't usually do; she sent a card WITH money.

I just want to let you know
You mean the world to me
Only a heart as dear as yours
Would give so unselfishly.
The many things you've done
All the times that you were there
Help me know deep down inside
How much you really care.
Even though I might not say
I appreciate all you do
Richly blessed is how I feel
Having an Auntie just like you..
