Obituary
Carl F. Williams was born in Camden on June 20, 1942 to Leona Williams and Harry Russell Woolford. Carl had one brother Harry R. Williams who preceded him in death. Carl grew up in Camden and went to Camden High School; where he graduated in June 1960.
Carl was baptized at an early age and attended 10th Street Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Nimmo. Carl enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 21, 1960. He was stationed at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, California where he was an Air Policeman. Serving and fighting in the Vietnam War, returning home to public service in 1966. Carl continued his career as a police officer with the Camden Police Department where he served his community for 14 years. Carl was a member and player of the Tri-State 48+MSBL (baseball league) playing on the Northern Division Team. He helped manage on of Camden’s Little League Youth teams back in 2002. He was also a member of the Hudson Adams Carpenter’s American Legion Auxiliary Unit #473. Carl was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Woodlyn, NJ overseen by Pastor Dennis L. Blackwell.
Carl leaves to cherish his fond memories; his wife Verrona Moore –Williams, step-daughter Destiny Moore, 2 daughter’s, Chyrisse Mosley (William P. Mosley II) and Leona Irene Williams, son, David Parker (Roberta Parker), step-daughter Lora Green Caswell (Keith Caswell), 5 grandsons, Derrick Williams, William Mosley III, Julian Mosley, Tyrone Parker, Tyreik Parker and 1 grand daughter, Daviyanna Parker. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
