Once in America he found a job at Aluminum Shapes where he worked as a Press Operator for many years. After he Aluminum Shapes he worked as a Carpenter for a local company in Collingswood New Jersey. There wasn’t much that Vivian didn’t know how to repair or build he was a great handyman around town, cutting lawns fixing up bicycles anything you needed he was the guy to call.
In 1991 he met Vanessa Monroe who he married in 1993. From that marriage he gained another daughter Tunisia Lewis. Vivian and Vanessa were happily married for 27 years until his death on December 22, 2020.
It was rare that you didn’t see Vivian with a beer in his hand or a spliff and a smile on his face. He enjoyed listening to his reggae music and dancing. He enjoyed going back to Jamaica more than anything else his most recent trip was with his daughter Christine in 2019. He and Vanessa love cooking and throwing a barbecue and having people come over to eat listen to music and enjoy themselves. He could be seen all over Camden riding his bicycle. He had a tough exterior but when you got to know him he knew that he was a lovable guy. He will be missed he was loved during his time here on earth.
He leaves to mourn him his wife Vanessa his children grandchildren great-grandchildren a brother Curfew and a sister Sylvia who resides in Jamaica.
