Obituary
Mary Rogers Drummond was born on October 5, 1932 to William Thomas Rogers and Dora Earl Wescott in Accomack County Virginia, where she was raised, attended school and raised her own family. After a brief illness, Mary fell asleep in death at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Mary was married in 1951 to Amos Drummond Sr. Mary was a wonderful and devoted mother who worked hard to take care of her family. She loved spending time with her family. Traveling to family events was always a huge joy for her. Mary was an active member of the Vineland congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She constantly strived to take in as much knowledge as she could about the God she served, Jehovah. She also enjoyed telling others about Jehovah and his wonderful promises for the future. One the promises Mary found comfort in is recorded at 1 Corinthians 15:20, 21, but now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep in death. Mary was confident that Jehovah will remove death forever and return to life
every loyal person, including herself.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Amos (Pamela) Drummond Jr., William (Ester) Drummond; daughters Lucindy (Robert) Snead, Sharon Bailey and Wanda (Eddie) Reid; sisters Patricia Orgias and Gloria Jean Rogers, 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Brenda Cephas and Patricia Drummond-Stratton; grandson Tyrone Bailey; great granddaughter Shaenika Glover;
brothers William Jr., John Wescott, Peter, Otho, John Wescott Thomas, Cleveland and her twin Joseph; sisters Fannie,
Geneva, Dora, Segal and Addie.
