Obituary of Korey Holloway
Please share a memory of Korey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Korey was born on April 5, 1974 and he returned to God on January 8, 2021. He was born to the late Edward Bettis and Carolyn Holloway. His formative years were spent in the Camden School System. He enjoyed working various jobs with his hands.
We honor, memorialize, and always remember Korey. He was our son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He was our friend. We remember him as a baby called “The Meat” and a toddler named “Stumby.” We remember him as the first - and the last - to receive a “Korey Haircut” from his grandmother and great-aunt. We remember his smile and the unique way that he could make others feel with his understanding and support. While he was a hard worker, he also enjoyed life. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, but his favorite pastime was socializing and eating. He especially enjoyed his sister’s seafood salad and Old Bay wings. He loved and cared for his family and friends. But, the most important people in his life were his two daughters, Akoria and Aleria.
Korey is survived by his children: Akoria McCall and Aleria McCall; his special friend, Theresa McCall; sisters: Karen Holloway and Kenyana Holloway-Hardee; aunt Connie Holloway-Johnson;; uncles: Larry Holloway and Lorenzo Holloway; niece Kaylah Towns and nephews: Elijah Hardee and Gary Towns and host of family and friends.
Lovingly Submitted, The Family
