Obituary of Benjamin Williams, Sr.

Benjamin “Pop” Williams Sr. Benjamin Williams Sr. was born in Lamar, South Carolina on December 2, 1944. He was predeceased by his dad, Johnnie Williams and mom, Ira Lee Lighty. Pop attended school in South Carolina and was part of the baseball team. He covered the “hot seat” third base! He attended Emanuel Methodist Church in South Carolina, which is where he landed his Sweetheart G! Ben Williams had a love for trucks and handled an 18-wheeler with ease. He was the life of any party and a die hard Eagles fan. Pop played the lottery like it was nobody’s business! We know he never hit cause he always returned back home. Pop was not only a talker but he was a fighter. He was up on his cooking game and didn't mind having the right sip to go with it. We will never forget his love for his wife and children. A smile of excitement was on his face every time he entered the room his family was in. If you knew Pop, then you never knew what was coming out his mouth. He definitely kept us laughing and on our toes. To hear his love for God should bring peace to all our hearts. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Geneva Williams, along with four sons, Benjamin (Gerline), Chris (Sandra), Donald (predeceased), Jonathan (Marjorie), and four daughters, Lisa, Denise, Vanessa and Monique. He also leaves cherishing his memories, nine grands and six great grands; two brothers, Richard (Edith) and Bizzan; Aunt Willisten Daniels(Elex), a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who were all special to Pop. He leaves behind 3 running buddies, Wilbur, Glen and Terry who didn't mind hitting 95 South at any given time.
