Obituary of Amelia Holden

Amelia Holden was born in Williamstown, NJ on March 15, 1940 to Mildred Johnson and George Johnson. At an early age Amelia love to read, sew, crochet, listen to gospel music, and loved gardening. She attended Glassboro High School where she met the love of her life.
On March 5th, 1959, Amelia married Arthur Holden, and later, gave birth to 6 children. Amelia loved spending precious time with her husband and children. She was quiet, humble, and a loving wife and mother. She was a mother of her church and took care of the sick and
“shut-ins” and helped many in need. She loved to work and help provide for her family and she was a dedicated employee. In her later years, she retired from Sony Records in Pitman, New Jersey.
Amelia made Jesus Christ first in her life, and her family was the center of her universe. She surely exemplified the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10-31: “Who can find a
virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her children rise up and call her blessed.”
Amelia passed away on January 20, 2021. She was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric D. Holden. She is survived by and cherished with her memory by her husband, Arthur Holden; daughter, Cynthia Williams (Stanley); son, Brian Holden (Cindy);daughter, Andrea Gaines (David); son, Scott Holden; daughter Yolanda Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Delores Holden and Lydia Pierce; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
