Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Raymond Page Jr, affectionately known as “Jimmy” or “Page” to his family and friends was born August 21, 1967 to Geraldine Nichols and James Raymond Page Sr. in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the husband of Tracey Page and father of Jamie, Darien, Jaron and Khadir. Jimmy Resided in Pittsburgh up until 1980 when they relocated to Pennsauken, NJ. He was a high school graduate who was active in both football and basketball. Upon graduating from Pennsauken High School in 1985, Jimmy enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served a four-year term. Prior to his untimely passing he worked for several different corporations in addition to starting several successful businesses of his own including a nail salon, cleaning service, security service, and Samantha Paige Intimates. Jimmy was also a long-time employee of ADT which he loved. I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you, and then I realized… You spent the rest of your life with me. I smile because I know you loved me till the day you went away and will keep loving me till the day we are together again. – Tracey Jimmy…. Page… Dad… daddy… Old man… My dad had so many names… to many to count. Honestly, I could sit here and tell you what type of man my dad was but most already know. What you may not know though is that Out of everything he was… he was my friend, My best friend at that. My dad was amazing and lit up my life even a thousand plus miles away from me. He always made sure he was only a phone call away from me at any given time. He never forgot about me even though I was not here with him every day. He never missed a birthday or holiday and made sure I knew I was important to him. He taught me so much and I wanted to be just like him in every way. I wanted to talk like him, act like him, hustle like him. My dad was a protector, He was my protector. No matter when I called and said happened to me my dad was always ready to make a move. At times, I had to let him know I was only venting. (insert my loud laugh) He never allowed me to feel anything less than safe. He was my listening ear in the middle of the night (literally) when I felt like my world was closing in on me, he was my mentor in business, he was my sun on my cloudiest days. He reminded me constantly I was beautiful, and I could do and be anything I wanted and now all I want is to be close to you one more time. To hear you laugh and for us to crack jokes on each other, for you to hold me tight and tell me how much you love me, and you will be back to see me, just one more time. As selfish as it may seem, I just want you here with me...with us. I love you daddy always and, in all ways, thank you for everything you’ve instilled in me. – Jamie Proverbs 20:7 “The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” Thank you for being a father figure and stepping up and helping me become a man and nurturing me into manhood. You taught me so much wisdom and walked with me slowly until more understanding came to me. I am forever grateful for you! Thank you, Father (step). You told me it’s my turn now to become the head and strength. I love you much. R.I.P. I thank Allah for you. – Khadir. Our dad always wanted the best things in life for the people around him. It was one of the things he valued above all else. Frequently talking about how important it was for us all to know and be there for each other. That the time we spent together was important. Though we were apart and the time we spent together was not always long he tried to make the most of it. Although I was not the most expressive, I truly enjoyed every moment we got to spend together. This isn’t “goodbye” it is see you later in the next life. – Jaron James Raymond Page can hardly be described as simply a man, he was much more than that. He was a warm protective hug and a casual greeting. He was a family man that you always knew had your back and was more ride or die than anyone. He was a go getter that never stopped chasing his dreams and had enough ambition to outshine the sun. He was a corny joke delivered at the right time and an atrocious singer that could not be stopped. He was a loving smile that made you feel safe and told you it was all going to be okay. He was a fighter too tough for anyone to take on and an old head that always seemed like he would outlive the world itself. He was a colleague, a friend, an uncle, a grandfather, a husband, and a father. He was a shining star taken too soon, gone but never forgotten. – Darien Page had the type of personality that drew people to him. He was a born hustler with keen business mind who often was frustrated because those around him did not share his vision or did not move fast enough to keep up with him. He was fiercely protective of his family, especially his children. He was a loyal friend. He did not suffer fools and he never forgot a slight. He had strong opinions and was prepared to defend them. He never did anything halfway. Whether in relationships or business, it was all or nothing. In his younger days he was impulsive regardless of the consequences, but as he got older, he showed more restraint. I think he was at a point in his life where he was just hitting his stride. His vision was within sight and he was ready to bring it to fruition. Had he not left us so suddenly, I am sure he would have. In some ways he was larger than life, and his absence will make the world feel a lot smaller. – Rona Jimmy was survived by his loving wife, Tracey Page. Daughter, Jamie Page, Sons Darien and Jaron Page, Grandchildren, Kodi Page and Kori Bassett, Stepson, Khadir Muhammad, Stepfather, Donnie Nevel. Sisters, Sharon, Eloise, Venus and Gina Page. Brother, Jody Page and a Host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and friends. His love and spirit will forever be with us.
