Obituary of John C Clinkscale

John C. Clinkscale who was affectionately known as “Poppy” passed from this earthly life on Thursday February 19, 2021 in the comfort of his home.
John was born in Richmond Virginia to the
late John and Mary Cllinkscale, educated in the
Philadelphia Public School System, and joined the Philadelphia Police Department in 1966.
During his time on the force, he served in many departments. A few of which were the Task Force, the Detective Unit, and the Highway Patrol for where his passion stayed until he retired as a Sergeant in 1996.
John accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. W. E. Cook at Enon Baptist Church. Later, he joined Greater Enon Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William E. Washington Jr. His final Church was Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Carlton Aiken, where he served on the Men’s Security and Usher Ministries.
John (Poppy) leaves to cherish his memories to:
