The Life of Jaquaya A. Brown
Jaquaya A. Brown was born May 18, 1983 to Charlotte Brown and Michael Speller, Sr. She was born in Camden, New Jersey and grew up in Erial, New Jersey. She attended Gloucester Township Public Schools.
Jaquaya, who lovingly known as Candy, made her grand entrance into this world quickly. So quick that her mother did not make it out of the car before Candy Girl made her first introduction to this world. The hit song Candy Girl by New Edition was playing; hence her nickname began. From that day on she was lovingly known as Candy. Candy Girl is a song we will never forget.
Candy enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and close friends. She had several passions which included singing and dancing. Styling hair was her greatest love. She enjoyed styling her hair and the hair of her friends with the vibrant colors she was known for. She was the girl who could brighten anyone’s day. Her ability to make you smile and laugh even you didn’t want to. She’d give you the shirt off her back to brighten your day. Everyone just gravitated to her bubbly personality.
She accomplished many things in her lifetime, but her greatest achievement was the birth of her three handsome sons, Tymere Brown (18), Kamron Bailey (17), and Sahnai Cox (15). They were and will forever be the twinkle in her eyes. They are the true loves of her life.
Jaquaya was preceded in death by her brother, Jai Robinson, her father Speller. Michael Speller, Jr., her grandmothers, Mae Helen Brown and Loretta Mae Davis; her grandfathers, Charlie Brown and Lemuel Speller.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons, Tymere, Kamron and Shanai; her mother, Charlotte Brown, her brothers, Tymour, Michael, Tyree, Craig, and Brandon; sisters, Kyesha, Erin, Dana, Nikasha and Michelle; aunts, Danielle, Arnetta, Crystal and Courtney; uncles, Kevin, Darrly and Phillip. Her memories will also be cherished by a loving godfather, Emanuel Coleman; her stepfather Earl Harrison; her great aunt and great uncle; eight close cousins: Imion, Gabrielle, Charmae, Cheron, Lyron, Anthony, Hassan, and Amari, 12 nieces and 13 nephews. She has a special connection with her oldest nephew Tymour Brown, Jr.
She also leaves to comfort her family, her Bestie, Jocelyn Hackett whom she loved dearly, her godson Ta`jon Hackett and a host of relatives and friends.
