When I think of you smiling and talking, it was like yesterday
And then you were taken away.
Your voice, your wisdom, your speech, a spirit so free,
In my heart you will always stay.
Not knowing all that you could have been, given the chance to stay here with us longer,
Taken away like a tide so low.
Now you are gone, and that last time we spoke on the phone,
I regret not saying how much I love you so.
Oh how I cry myself to sleep some nights, praying that God keeps your soul at peace,
Now and forever more you will always be the one I adore.
Just remembering & hearing your voice makes me want to be better.
Now you are in that heavenly place
On the wings of the angel dove soaring so high above
It has been almost two weeks since your life came to its early departure
Sometimes I wonder if it happened for a reason
God has a purpose for all of us
That's why he took you so suddenly
Although I will never understand why so soon
Death is something we have to live with
Death has no back or front door
When the time comes we all have to endure
So rest in peace till we meet again, Uncle
