Obituary of David J Cunningham, Sr.

David James Cunningham Sr was born Nov 27 1932 in Kingstree SC, to the late Eddie Cunningham & Sallie (Jones) Cunningham.
He was educated in the Kingstree SC school system. In 1958 David Cunningham married the late Naomi Alice Brown to that union 8 children were born. For many years he enjoyed working as a Tractor Trailer Driver for Eastern Tire & Battery in Camden New Jersey and Kale Transport in Mt Laurel NJ. After retirement from truck driving, he enjoyed the casinos and traveling back and forth to South Carolina.
David answered God’s whisper on March 22 2021 at Cooper Hospital in Camden New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi, his daughter Glenda, granddaughter Celeste, grandson Tristan better known as Boo, and grandson Junior, his brother Eddie (Norma)Cunningham Bessie (David) Cooper Sarah Williams Bertha (Mose) Gamble, Essie (Henry) Thompson.
He leaves to cherish wonderful memories of his surviving children, Luther (Audrey) David (Eliza) Steven, Diane (Karl) Dail, Gail, and Sharon, also 22 grandchildren 38 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grand. A very special Aunt his late Aunt Evangelina Cunningham affectionately known as Annie Sugar and her husband Rich Cunningham who raised him after his Father and Mother died when he was at the young age of 8 and their kids who they went as brothers and sisters, the late Newton (Rosa Lee) Cunningham the late Walter(Mary Elizabeth)Cunningham the late Ned (Gladys) Cunningham the late David Green(Janie Mae) Cunningham the late Johnny Levi (Maria) Cunningham sisters Ruth (William) Fulton, Evangelina (Frank) Rogers and Rosa Cunningham, Brother in law Robert (Sylvia) Brown of Hemingway SC and a host of relatives and friends.
