My name is Curtis Johnson. I graduated with “T” from Bok High School in 2006. Tiyauna was a really caring person, unselfish, always trying to help someone else! Even up to her last days she still reached out to people including myself. I knew her to be strong-willed, upbeat, extremely positive, and out-going! We kept in contact over the years and each time we connect, it was like we were never a part! I’m devastated however a part of me is happy because she is home with the Lord our Father and Savior Jesus Christ!! She always included the Lord in everything. We would fellowship on the phone or through text talking about God. We would even motivate each other during check-ins. The biggest memory I will always have of Tiyauna is that she helped me get back on my feet in 2011. I was out of work for some time. She introduced me to Sandy Nixon who later hired me as a Security Officer at Germantown Friends School. That moment was a pivotal time for me because it jump started my career! When no one else cared or was there for me she was and I can’t thank her enough and she knows that!! Condolences to her family, you are in my prayers!! Love always Curtis.
