Obituary
Obituary of Brian D Marshall
Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brian DeWayne Marshall was born on December 27, 1982 to Robert L. Marshall and Linda Lawson in Gloucester County, Woodbury, New Jersey in Underwood Memorial Hospital. He went to his eternal resting place on April 25, 2021. He was formerly employed at A&A Carpeting in Williamstown.
Brian went to Clayton Elementary and Middle Schools. He graduated from Williamstown High School in 2001. He loved to sing. Whether he was walking or working, he was singing or listening to music. His favorite gospel songs were “I Got It” by Pastor Mike and “Make Room” by Johnathan McReynolds. Brian was a quiet person, and you never knew what he was thinking. He was even tempered, and he never made waves. No matter what he was going through, he was always loving and kind to everyone. He was the uncle that all the kids loved. He took time with the kids, he played with them and babysat them.
He was close to all his brothers and sisters and he loved his mother and father very much. Brian was a great father, and he loved his children dearly, Brian, Lilliana (Lilly) and Faith. Lilly would go to school and tell her teachers that her daddy was her best friend. He and Lilly were like to peas in a pod because they were always together. Brian and Debbie had been in a long-term relationship for years and out of that relationship came little “Lilly Lu,” that’s what her grand mom Linda calls her.
The last time Brian and his mother communicated with each other was literally less than one hour before he died. Earlier that day she posted on Facebook about how proud she was of him because he was really trying his best to do the right thing. After Brian read the post, he responded by saying, “Thanks mom, I love you!!!” with three hearts. She told him that she loved him too. She thanks the Lord for leaving her those comforting words from him and for allowing her to be able to say “I love you” back to him before he left this world. She’s so thankful to God because He made sure both of her children who recently passed away were able to say “I love you” to her before leaving this world. That was certainly a gift from God.
Brian is survived by his Mother Linda Lawson, Father Robert Marshall, his children: Brian II, Lilly and Faith, four brothers: Andre, Robert, Christopher, Corey; two sisters: Tamika and Stephanie and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved his stepfather, Stefan Lawson.
