Obituary of Micah K Boone
Please share a memory of Micah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Micah Kwi-yan “Ace” Boone was born to the late Veronica Allen Macklin and John C. Jones on January 7, 1971, in Camden, New Jersey, where he received his formal education in the Camden City School system. In pursuit of his dreams to provide a better life for himself and his children, Micah moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2003. When he first arrived, he enjoyed work as a model and actor for several Atlanta production companies.
After obtaining his GED, he then attended the Georgia Institute ofTechnology. Micah valued his education, excelling in all of his classes. He worked for the Hyatt Hotels for many years. It was there, where he fell in love with electrical engineering. He later received his certification as an HVAC technician thus furthering his career.
Micah loved to travel. During his travels abroad, he visited Germany, Switzerland, and Paris. He also believed in giving back and supporting his community. Micah was a part of the Atlanta HOPE non-profit organization. His efforts and contribution to this organization served the homeless within the Greater Atlanta area. He was a devoted son, brother, father, grandpop, uncle, and friend. He was the life of the party and enjoyed making others laugh. Micah was a writer, a poet, a rapper, a debater and a philosopher. He loved spending time with his children and family. Micah was just a “people person.” He celebrated the success of others and encouraged them to be all that they could be. Micah was a man who accomplished a lot within his lifetime. He will be dearly missed.
Micah was preceded in death by his dear mother, Veronica Allen Macklin, his father John C. Jones, and his precious daughter, I’Yonnah La’Kenia Boone, all of New Jersey.
Micah leaves with us a legacy of love and inspiration to cherish his joyful and energetic memories: a fiancée of 2 years, Jocabed Sanchez (GA); three beautiful daughters: Zakia Boone (TN), Mykyah Boone (NJ), and Samasadai Boone (GA); three handsome sons: Justin Hurst (NJ), Sean Micah Smith (GA), and Ethan Micah Hill-Smith (GA); two very special grandsons: Al-Duwan Lucona Jr. and Kamden Lucona; five cherished sisters: Veronica Boone-Jones (Keith Jones) (NJ), Chantelle Boone (GA), Tonia Boone-Redd (Zane Redd) (NJ), Kenia Boone (NJ), Malika Macklin (NJ); his friend and ex-wife: Sarah Harris (NJ); a very special niece: Shquita Dixon (GA) and a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
