Obituary of Renee E Neal

Renee E. Neal was a woman of grace, grit, style, beauty, compassion, and love. She had the unique ability to capture a room with her effervescent personality and laughter. Renee departed her earthly life on Cinco De Mayo, May 5th 2021. This was not a day of defeat. Rather, it was a day of victory. Renee had a beautiful zeal for life and loved God, her children, people, and food – In that order.
She was totally unconventional and kept others rolling in laughter with her spontaneous comments. She found humor even in the most challenging circumstances. Renee was unapologetic about her faith and loved to worship. She was also a woman of prayer. Her friends and family knew her as a prophetic intercessor and as one who could get an answer from God. It was her maternalistic spirit that deemed her as a mother to many around the world.
Renee began her spiritual journey as a young girl where she sang and served with her father and brothers in church. As an adult, she served in servant leadership roles and had an impact on many spiritual communities where she belonged. She sat under the leadership of amazing spiritual coverings Bishop Wynell Freeman, Fresh Word Kingdom Assemblies, Vorhees, NJ (2018-2021); Bishop Michael O. Brokenborough, Household Of Faith Deliverance Worship Center, Ardmore, PA (2013-2017); Apostle Joel D. Rudolph, Christian Fellowship Center, Paterson, NJ (1987-2013).
Renee was educated in the Paterson Public School System, graduating from Eastside High School. Soon after, she matriculated to Berkeley College.
Renee began her professional career as a teacher within the Paterson Public System. She then pivoted to administration where she served 33 years with the State of New Jersey Department of Labor until she retired in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Earl Clinton Floyd & Zuline Floyd; her husband – Robert L. Neal; her brothers – Clinton Floyd, Steven Floyd; and her daughter Eunique R. Neal, who died at infancy.
Renee leaves to cherish two children – TiAira S. Neal and Coshique A. Neal. Renee also leaves to mourn two grandchildren – Zaniyah C. Neal and Adriana R.Volpe-Neal. Renee’s memory will live on in her two brothers – Armond Floyd & Dion Floyd; Sisters-in-law – Veronica Baldwin Floyd, Rachel Floyd, Deneen Morrisey Floyd, and Kathy Neal; Sister cousins – Adrienne (Cissy) Catoe-Carter and Cheryl Floyd; Surrogate siblings – Jeffrey Chazz Williams and Yolanda Isom. Best Friends Audrey Williams and Gwendolyn Baggett. There are also a host of Godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will continue to celebrate her life and legacy.
