Antoine was my childhood friend when we lived in Pine Run apartments in Blackwood, NJ. We grew up together. We played basketball almost everyday as youth. He encouraged me to play harder and to practice. Talks of playing for Tulane amongst other colleges would be shared. He had a smile that would light up a room. There were days where he would watch his little sister Krystle after we got home from school while his mom Miss Gwen was at work, so we would play video games until she got home. Antoine would look after her like a true big brother and cook for the both of them. He would even share with me. I have many many fond memories of Antoine. After high school we lost contact. I've asked about him through mutual friends but no one seemed to know his whereabouts. Some months ago I did a search on Facebook and seen he started a page. I reached out to him and he replied. We kept in touch over the past 6 mos or so, and caught up on the phone a couple of times. We spoke about a new job and he was looking forward to it. I told him once he gets settled with the job to keep in touch. 3 days later I get the news and man I'm still in disbelief. My heart goes out to his mother, father and sister during these times of mourning. Twizz, imma miss you bro.
