Monica Therese Mangreum

Monica was born in New York, NY to Cpt. Paul A. Gregory and Jacqueline Gregory. She was the oldest of their 5 children. Monica grew up in a military household and travelled a lot. Her family settled in Willingboro, NJ. in 1966.
She graduated from Kennedy High School in Willingboro in 1974. She was a member of the track team. After high school, Monica joined the Army. She was a communications operator. While in the Army, she attained a rank of sergeant. It was in the Army where Monica met her husband, Nathan Mangreum. Together the two would go on to have 3 boys, Nathaniel, Nicholas and Lloyd.
Monica liked to travel. She travelled abroad with the military, lived on the east coast (NJ), west coast (California) and down south (Alabama) before returning to the east coast (NJ).
As a sergeant in the military, she assembled operations equipment for NASA and Lockheed. After discharge, she attended and received her degree in technical college, and began raising her family. They moved from California to Alabama and finally back to New Jersey. Monica worked a variety of jobs from, an assembly line at Chrysler in Alabama to teacher’s aide and counselor in New Jersey.
After a horrific car accident, Monica focused on different hobbies. Her hobbies included drawing, crafting, DIY projects, stained glass and her favorite sewing.
Monica is survived by her 3 sons: Nathaniel Mangreum of Lumberton, NJ; Nicolas Mangreum and his wife Eddie-Mae-Luv of Lumberton, NJ and Lloyd Mangreum of Willingboro, NJ.
Monica also leaves behind 5 siblings: Darren Gregory of Yuma, AZ; Allyson Gregory of Willingboro; NJ, Pauline Gregory-Green of Willingboro, NJ; Valerie Gregory-Woolsey of Las Vegas, NV and Paul Gregory Jr. of the Philippines.
Monica had 6 grandchildren: Kiara, Keyon, Jordan, Deyshawn, Karis and Lamont; and 5 nieces and nephews: Dionne, Pierra, Tyrell, Aaron and Alicia.
Monica also leaves behind a host of family members throughout the United States and USVI.
Monica was preceded in death by her mother Jacqueline Gregory in 2014 and her father Major Paul Gregory in 2020.
