Obituary of Takia Y Berry

Takia Yvonne Berry was called home on August 1, 2021 at the age of 31. She was born in Camden New Jersey to her mother Cassandra Ingram, and her father Mitchell Berry on October 8th, 1989. Takia attended the Henry L. Bonsall School and then went onto High School at the Camden County Vocational and technical school (Penn Tech) where she graduated in 2008.
Takia was a dedicated health care worker- caregiver throughout her years. She then became a mother of one on February 27th, 2016 to her son. Takia decided she wanted to go back to school and graduated from the Harris School of Business in 2019. All while becoming a Technologist. She interned at the Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital where she became part of the Penn Medicine Family.
She is also a small business owner of an online boutique called Thrif “Tee” comeback, which she created in 2020. Takia even created a women’s empowerment group called “ Restoring Queens” to uplift and encourage young women to embrace their flaws and become a better version of themselves. She would even hold events from fashion shows to ball events, pop-up shops, and brunches. If those things weren’t on her schedule she would be spending time with her family bowling, out to eat, or doing karaoke.
Takia is preceded in death by her mother Cassandra Ingram, her aunts Lakia and Lawanda Strickland, her uncle Stewart Berry, and her grandma Barbara Strickland.
Takia is then survived by her son Jaylin Berry, her brothers and sisters Raymond and Jendaya Heredia, Nyasia and Christopher Ingram, and Shareef Graddy. Along with her Father Mitchell Berry and stepdad Christopher Ingram sr. Her aunts Melanie and Pamela Strickland and Stephanie Berry. Best friends Shamia, Shanika, and India. Along with a host of family, friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
