Obituary of Melvin K Williams

Please share a memory of Melvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In Loving Memory of Melvin Kenneth Williams (1956-2021) Buddha observed that one candle can light a thousand others. Melvin Kenneth Williams showed that a single person can brighten a thousand lives. He had a rare spirit that raised the spirits of everyone who came to know him. Melvin was born with an identical twin brother on February 4, 1956. His parents were Florence and Roland Williams. He graduated from Our Mother of Sorrows and St. Joseph Prep before he earned a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science from Merrimack College. He had a couple of passions. Basketball was one of them. He played the sport in high school and college. In each instance, he was like a spark plug that charged his squad. He always worked for the good of the team. Above all else, he loved to spend time with family. He had two sons, Kairi and Kahlil, for whom he had a deep affection. Melvin had an immense fondness for his grandchildren, Jalen, Sydney, and Noelle, too. He cared very much for a big close family that included nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters, all of whom held his company dear. Melvin was a supervisor at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Camden, NJ, when he passed. The organization was sad to lose him. He modeled the fellowship of the group. His life ended on August 24, 2021. But everyone who knew him will forever remember him. He made an unforgettable impression.
