Life Legacy
Deborah I Johnson- Goode was born on July 12,1950 to Lindsey and Hallie Johnson in Philadelphia PA. Deborah was also referred to as Debbie to her friends and family. Debbie graduated with honors from William Penn High School for Girls. Debbie was an outstanding gymnast who loved to put her all into everything. Debbie was employed with the United Parcel Service for several years as a supervisor she enjoyed working with co-workers and staff until she was no longer able to work due to health-related issues.
Debbie was a very outspoken person who loved to speak the truth on a good day or bad day. She also adored her husband, Herbert Goode and her family. Debbie loved to sew fashionable clothing for herself and others. She believed in the Lord and making people happy. When it came to sweets, such as cakes and candy, Debbie did not hesitate to put those items in her pocketbook. Debbie had such a unique laugh that captured everyone’s attention however, her laugh could not be duplicated. Debbie loved to dance and listen to music, her favorite artists before celebrating life was Etta James’s “I’d Rather Go Blind”. Debbie will always be remembered as a witty, kind, and loving person
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Hallie and Lindsey Johnson, two brothers, Lindsey Jr and Leroy Johnson. Also, a sister Linda Herbert.
Debbie leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband Herbert Goode, son William Johnson and daughter Tomeeka Collins. One brother Tyrone Johnson and one sister Arlene Johnson. Her five lovely grandchildren: Savannah, Bianca, Kiara, Aaron, and Aerek. Four great grandchildren: Xavier, Serenity, Jayden and Macarius. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
