Obituary of Garland M Green, Jr.

On Tuesday, November 23,2021 God came into our midst and called home for enteral rest our beloved Garland M Green Jr.  Garland’s life began on August 9,1977 in Stratford, NJ. He is son of Carolyn and Garland Green. Garland grew up in Sicklerville where he attended Winslow Township school system and graduated with Edgewood High School Class of 1996. He continued his education and joined the United States Army, serving as a Generator Mechanic. He received many service awards and was honorably discharged in 2001. Garland worked at Food Science Corporation for 14 years. He also extended his services at Actega Inc and KeyStone Corporation.  Garland was a hard worker and loving father. He worked diligently to provide for his children, Marquis, Morgan, Amia, and Jaden. Garland met the love of his life Shamia in 2015.  It was obvious these two were soulmates. Garland and Shamia married in March 2020. Garland became a great stepfather to Daquan, Kamyra, and Rashaad. He looked forward to every moment he could spend with his wife and the beautiful, blended family they created. Garland was loved by all and had many nick names he was known as Bernie, Uber, BIL, Jr, BroBro and G. Garland enjoyed football, everyone knew he was a 49ers fan for life. He loved to watch his children play sports, you could count on him to be recording the game and cheering on the team. Garland was known for his amazing talent on the grill and his legendary steaks. It was a joy to be in his company, Garland was Guaranteed to make you laugh. Thought out his lifetime, he made many friends and touched the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Words are inadequate to express the sorrow we are feeling, but we find comfort in knowing Garland is now resting in the arms of the Lord. Garland will be missed by all.  Garland leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Shamia Green; mother, Carolyn Green; father, Garland Green Sr.; his sons: Marquis (Bam) and Jaden (Buddy); daughters, Morgan and Amia, his step-children: Daquan, Kamyra, and Rashaad; brother David; sister-in-law, Ebony; sisters, Tamika and Cecelia; brother-in-law, Anthony and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   Loving submitted The Family
