Obituary of Walter L. Merriwether

Walter L. Merriwether, also known as Money, departed this life on December 19, 2021. He was born on March 9, 1967, to Walter Merriwether, Sr. and the late Rose Randells, both of Glassboro, NJ. Walter was educated in the Glassboro School system and graduated Glassboro High School in 1985.
He worked for Jem Paving and Concrete for over 20 years. Walter was known to always have money, hence the nickname. He had a good heart and would help everyone whenever he could. He loved spending time with his family during family functions. His mother recently passed away and he truly missed her.
Walter had a love for cars. His fascination with cars led him to own several vehicles. He also had a love for fashion. Walter was a stylish dresser. Old school R&B was his favorite music. He enjoyed listening to the sounds of Motown, Atlantic, and Stax artists.
Walter leaves to cherish his memory five children: Forrest Graves of Glassboro, NJ, Chardae Plummer (Nate) of Sicklerville, NJ, Aliyah Merriwether of Danville, VA, Dayon Williams-Tull and Deyon Merriwether of Petersburg, VA; eight grandchildren; his father, Walter Merriwether, Sr., of Glassboro, NJ; his brother, Leroy Merriwether of Glassboro, NJ; a nephew, Leroy Harden and a niece, Tanequa Merriwether, both of Glassboro, NJ; three aunts: Diane Gunther, Vestine Gaines, and Carol Gaines; two uncles: Lorenzo Gaines and George Gunther. Walter is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Sharee Sampson, his stepchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
