Obituary of Annette D Barnes
Please share a memory of Annette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Annette Denise Barnes (lovingly known as Nette Nette) was born November 30, 1968 at Our Lady of Lourdes to Ann Barnes and late Henry Barnes.
Nette Nette would light up a room when she entered, with her pearly white smile, greeting all with her uplifting spirit and her sparkling bling bling. Nette loved the Lord, family, friends, and a Friday after work crab boil treat. Annette was a true prayer warrior and could be counted on to pray with you and for you at any given time. Nette was Baptized at Parkway Baptist Church in Willingboro and loved singing gospel music.
Nette enjoyed volunteering in community service activities, working at the church Vacation Bible School with the youth, ministering, participating in Black Girls Run! South New Jersey, Soldiers of the Light Ministries, canvas painting and living life.
Nette graduated Willingboro High School in 1987 and completed Gordon Philips Beauty School as licensed cosmetologist. Recently finished real estate school while working at Amazon. Nette loved working with children as a teacher’s aide and the children loved her dearly. Annette took great pride in working at Amazon especially when on special assignment as the "6-feet guardian ambassador" this past year, where she politely alarmed her co-workers to distance themselves and wear their mask properly.
Annette passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She is predeceased by her father Henry Barnes. Nette is survived by her mother Ann Barnes, her daughter Angela Barnes, son Colby Barnes, granddaughter India Barnes, bonus granddaughter Li Li, all of whom she loved dearly alongside her siblings, cousins, nieces, nephew, friends, and neighbors.
