celebrating THE LIFE OF & LEGACY OF
Michael Anthony Clayton
Michael Anthony Clayton was born March 19, 1963 in Camden New Jersey to Silas & Evelyn Clayton. He was educated in the Magnolia School System and graduated from Camden County Vocational School in 1981.
In 1981 Rhonda and Michael found young love and from this union their son Marshall was born. As they departed for a while true love reunited them once again on July 23, 2003, and since then they have been inseparable. She was his queen as he was her king, and you felt their love. Michael was a devoted husband and friend to Rhonda until he departed this life on January 23, 2022.
Anyone who knew Michael, knew two things, he was a die-hard Eagles fan and always the life of the party. Michael had Eagles EVERYTHING, shirts, coats, jewelry, hats, If the Eagle emblem was on it, he had it!! If you ever had the opportunity to watch a game with him, you may risk the possibility of going deaf from the screaming. Michael was a supporter, win or lose to the very end. Michael was also the life of the party, every party. He enjoyed listening to old school music. You could always count on Michael to call “Security”. Michael would dance with everyone at an event and make sure you look good even if you could not dance as all eyes would be on him. His family and friends knew him to be kind, caring and quite comical. His presence will surely be missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Silas and Evelyn Clayton, brother Silas (Lamont) Clayton and granddaughter Chanel.
Michael is survived by the love of his life Rhonda, five children Marshall (Tiffany), Patrice (Beau), Ariel (Jonathan) Celeste (Gary) and Amber. Grandchildren: Nyair, Zyeer, Myles, Anyla, Marshall Jr., Amya, Heaven, Laliana, Zienna, Israel, Camile, Harmony and Alaysha. Three sisters Kathy (Robert) Kelly (Michael) Stephanie (Tyrone) brother-in-law’s Bervin, Major/sister-in-law’s Opal, Antionette and LaVonne and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
