Pastor Gordon Ray Parks, Sr. was born November 5, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Georgia. He graduated from Withrow University High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1966, Gordon became the Father of his first-born daughter, Eugenia “Wendy” Parks. Wendy was followed by four brothers, Gordon Jr., Herbert, Michael, and Brian. He later went on to work for the Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his time in Minneapolis, Pastor Parks took up acting and became the Phantom Diner on KDKA Network. Pastor Parks was eventually transferred by Pillsbury to the Philadelphia area where he met his wife, Jeanne Parks.
After the birth of Leslie and Lenora, Pastor Parks founded Gordon R. Parks Realty, Inc. in 1986, which he later sold in 2000, to be able to focus on ministering and traveling to spread the message of the Kingdom. He traveled to various places in Africa, the Caribbean, and Pakistan. During this time, he pastored at Community Bible Fellowship for over 20 years before he founded and became the pastor of the School of the Kingdom Institute now located in Beverly, New Jersey. Pastor Parks also founded WPI Realty with his business partner, Linda Lomon. He enjoyed golfing, especially when traveling, and had a passion for cooking and catering.
Pastor Gordon R. Parks leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Jeanne Parks; 3 daughters, Wendy Rae Parks, Leslie Jean Lee, and Lenora Parks; 4 sons, Gordon Ray Parks, Jr., Herbert Ray Parks, Michael Ray Parks, and Brian Ray Parks; 2 son-in-laws, Isaiah Lee and Jermaine Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Felice Parks; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Steven Parks; a brother-in-law, Nathaniel Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pastor Parks was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Georgia, and his grandson Justin Parks.
