Obituary of Audrey Lynn Wright

Audrey Lynn Wright, the older of two children, was born in Moorestown, New Jersey on May 30, 1947 to the late Charles and Alice Haynes. Audrey’s education took place in the Moorestown Public School system where she graduated from Moorestown High School in 1965. As a child, she attended Second Baptist Church in Moorestown, accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 10, and was baptized by the late Rev. V. S. Griggs. Audrey was very involved in ministry: she served on the usher board, sang in the church choir, and was an alternate Sunday School Musician. Her first job was as a mother’s helper where she went into the homes of affluent families in Moorestown and performed housekeeping tasks. Audrey married the love of her life, Benjamin P. Wright Sr. on April 9, 1966 and out of that union three children were born. While her children were young, Audrey chose to stay home and be a homemaker. Her calling to help other mothers led her to open her home for childcare and assisting many local families. Her love for helping others only grew as several people lived with her during transitional times in their lives, ensuring that the Wright’s home was always full of activity. When Audrey’s children were of age, she entered the business world and was employed by Burlington County Trust Bank and Commerce Bank. She also worked at Living Waters Christian Book Store where her love for books allowed her to start her book Ministry. Audrey retired from Pinelands Ob-gyn and resided in Edgewater Park, New Jersey prior to moving to Greensboro, North Carolina. Benjamin P. Wright Sr., preceded Audrey in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children: Benjamin Purnell Jr. (Alicia Tameka), Danita Lynn, Bryan Keith Wright (Robbin Denise), three grandchildren; Bryan Keith Jr., Brittney Renee, and David Addison; one sister Carole (James Bell) and their children Yalanda Marie and Anthony James (Catherine); One Aunt: Olivia Haynes Savage, and a host of loving family and friends.
