Helen Ruth Ruby Peacock was born on June 18, 1938, to Elzie and Mary
Frances Calhoun in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ruby entered the gates of
heaven in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on March 28, 2022.
Helen better known as (Ruby) was educated in the Philadelphia school system.
Ruby later worked for many years in Custodial Services for various companies.
Ruby married William Peacock December 25, 1955. also known to many as William
Sweet Pea Peacock who was a professional boxer. From this union two children
were born. Kimberly and Little Bill now deceased.
Ruby loved the Lord and was raised up in the church, and later years was
unable to attend church on a regular basis due to health issues.
Ruby was a caring, quiet person who enjoyed spending time with family and
friends. Ruby especially enjoyed her casino trips with her many friends until
her health declined. Ruby’s door was always opened to her many friends and
family members. Ruby adored the time she spent with her 2 granddaughters Hydeia, Antonia, sharing special moments and quality time with them.
The family wants to give special thanks to Mark and Cindy Calhoun for the
wonderful care they provided to my sister Helen, and to Joanne Horter.
Preceding Ruby in death is; husband Billy Sweet Pea, brother Elzie, son, Little
Bill, daughter, Kimberly.
Helen (Ruby) leaves to cherish her memories, sister, Mary Julia Holmes Borders, granddaughters, Hydeia, Antonia, and a host of nieces, nephews and
numerous friends.
