Obituary of Gloria J Moreland

On Saturday, April 30, 2022, the Lord our Savior called Gloria Jean Moreland home for her final resting. Gloria was born on November 3, 1948, in Trenton New Jersey to Louise Crossland and raised by her loving parents LeGrand and Geneva Crawford. While in Trenton, she met her best friend and devoted husband of 55 years, Junior Dilet Moreland, Sr. (Button Joe). They married in Trenton, New Jersey and shortly after started a family and moved to Willingboro, New Jersey. Gloria received her formal education in the City of Trenton School System being a graduate of Trenton Central High School. After graduation, Gloria went on to work at ETS (Education Testing Service) in Princeton, New Jersey where she started in as a clerk in the mailroom and eventually retiring after 30 years of service as an Executive Assistant. Gloria was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey where she sung on the Gospel Choir and the Bagley Echoes. She and dad were involved in countless programs for the children, organizing the Annual Valentine’s Day Tea, working in the kitchen, barbeque film nights at the church, just really fun family-oriented events. Gloria is survived by her faithful and devoted husband, Junior Dilet Moreland, Sr.(Button Joe), loving children Vicki Lynette Moreland, Gloria Lynn Turner (Boo)(Lamonte E Turner, son-in-law) Junior Dilet Moreland, Jr., Kerry Anthon Moreland, (Josephine F. Moreland, daughter -in-law) Horace (Allen) Peebles(Christine Peebles) her only sister Gayle Marie Banks-Richardson. Grandchildren, Michael Dilet Moreland (Cheniece Moreland) Taylor Kaitlyn Turner, Brandon LaMar Moreland, Amber Nicolle Turner, Kerry Anthon Moreland, II, Joshua Dilet Moreland, Horace Allen Peebles, Jr. (AJ), Andre’ Peebles, Avery Peebles and her one great-grand daughter Alizah Rae Moreland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
