Obituary of Gymone Kenyatta Allen-Murphy
Please share a memory of Gymone to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gymone Kenyatta Allen-Murphy, was born on October 09, 2007 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the beloved son of Gymone Murphy and Eunice Allen, grandson of the late, Gregory and Yvonne and Allen (maternal grandparents) and Frank Murphy (paternal grandfather). After recommitting his life to Christ, Gymone was recently baptized in July 2022 at Impacting Your World Ministries in Cherry Hill, NJ. On August 08, 2022, God called Gymone home to exchange his earthly body for a heavenly crown.
Affectionately known as “Boo-Boo” by his family and“G-5” by his teammates of the Gloucester Stallions Football Team, Gymone was a gentle giant and giver of love. Though born and raised in Philadelphia, he moved to New Jersey in 2016, and quickly made his mark on the community. Whether it was making friends in school or scoring touchdowns on the field, Gymone made sure people remembered his presence.
He loved sports, mainly football and would spend hours playing video games with his favorite cousin, Jordan. As a student, Gymone was serious about his studies, yet always had a silly story. Often sharing experiences in class that would make everyone laugh, he was well respected amongst his coaches, teachers and peers. Having recently graduated from Ann A. Mullen Middle School in June 2022, Gymone was planning to attend Timber Creek High School in the Fall.
He was a beacon of light and breathe of fresh air; using his stunning smile and warm embrace remind his family, that love was indeed the key. Especially “Aunt Di”, who’s macaroni cheese he would devour and “Aunt Nay-Nay”, with whom he shared a birthday. Gymone’s light illuminated every room he entered and filled the hearts of every person he touched. He was truly a gift from God and will continue to leave his mark on the world, through his memory.
Gymone leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Eunice aka “his favorite ole head”; father, Gymone; siblings, Gregory, Bahir, Vonnie, Jahlil, Na-Na, Gi-Gi, Dy, Brittany and Samia; grandmother, Darlene Murphy (paternal); aunts, Diane Hines-Cooper, Denise White, Renee (Nay-Nay) Moore and Miyoshi Allen; two uncles Fidel Murphy and Jalonie Murphy (Daneen); special friend Eriel Dixon and a host of other relatives and friends.
