Dearest Sondi, and family,
Although mere words are inadequate to express my profound expressions of love to you in the transition of your beautiful mother, please know that she is resting in the bosom of the Jesus Christ, the Author, and finisher of her faith.
Ms. Carol, as I fondly remember her, introduced herself to me at the Dedication of my dear friend, Vicki Weston's granddaughter, Skylar. After words and cellphone pictures were exchanged across the dinner table, we talked as if we had known each other for year's.
Ms. Carol exuded wit, charisma, and a listening ear. She was well versed on a diverse range of subject matter. Most importantly, she loved and boasted of her children's personal and professional accomplishments. What a phenomenal and virtuous woman of God worthy to be praised.
Her endearing gift of servitude shall never be forgotten. May the works she's done speak for her. And while God in His infinite wisdom and divine providence decided to call our beloved sister to her Heavenly home, rest assured that her tireless works on Earth has not been in vain.
Earth's loss, Heaven's gain.

First let me say, as the tears just hit me on this particular day at this particular time! It is with a very heavy heart that I send my deepest sympathy to the Jones family. Carol Jones or CJ as I know her was a lady that I truly admired. I sat next to her on the 3rd floor for a number of years and learned a great deal. CJ was very, very, very. private, but also a very, very, caring human being. We shared lots of conversations about work, family, health and yes, even though she was older than I, about places we grew up and how it all was back in the day. On any given day when I was going through my illness and needed just a Gingerale soda to settle my stomach I would run out of change. After stepping away from my cubicle for whatever reason, when I returned I discovered CJ had placed coins, what she called in secret, on my desk. Each day thereafter she would make sure that I was good. The word that stands out to me when I say her name Carol ANN Franklin-Jones (CJ) is "HUMBLE". I will never forget the words that she has taught me that sticks with me even still to this day.. in my personal life as well. "You don't have to be upfront to be seen or heard, you can still make a big difference in the background".....CJ, you will truly be missed!!!!

Carol was such a sweet person to converse with as we chatted during our grand childrens choir rehearsal at Mt.Zion. I enjoyed the conversations we had that she also shared family history. May she rest in Heavenly peace and light perpetual always shine upon her. So sad to hear of her passing but God knows best. To Sondi, sister and the other family members, may the Comforter grant you strength and peace during this season in your life and keep her close in heart reflecting on your love and memories. Love and prayers from your Mt. Zion Church Family.
