Obituary of Morris Eugene

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, Morris Warren Eugene on Saturday November 5th, 2022. He passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Our family is at peace knowing Dad is finally reunited with our mother Betty. Together they are survived by their children (Alwin Eugene, Bernhard Eugene, Sylvia Russell, Sheela Wright and Tyrone Eugene), nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Morris was beloved by his extended family across the globe, from many Eugene and Quillins family members in New Orleans, Texas, and California, to the Robinson family in Anchorage, Alaska and his family in Germany. Our family lovingly referred to Morris as Opa. Morris was born in New Orleans and was one of eight siblings. He joined the US Army out of high school and served 20 years. Our veteran achieved the rank of Master Sergeant and during his career was deployed to both Vietnam and Korea. He retired from the military with honors and returned to work another 20 years with the New Jersey State Government before finally retiring for good. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and family provider. He enjoyed sharing stories about how he met Betty in Germany and his life abroad. During his retirement, Dad also enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his veteran buddies along the Delaware River. Morris leaves a legacy of a strong family, service and love. There will be a memorial service held on November 20th at 3:30 pm at May’s Funeral Home 45 Pine St, Willingboro, NJ 08046
