Obituary of Wismond Brissett

Wismond Brissett also known as Follie passed away November 8th, 2022, in Vineland NJ at Inspira Hospital at the age of 56. He was born in Hanover, Jamaica on November 21,1965 to his parents Rosalin Wollery and Uriah Brissett. Wismond grew up in Cousin Cove Jamaica where he attended Green Island Secondary. He worked as a tour guide and bartender at Sandals before migrating to Vineland NJ in 1992.
For more than 30 years Wismond lived in Vineland. He worked for Daryl Construction company doing insulation for 10 years. He always had a dream to become a business owner. In 2002, he went to Broadway Truck Driving School for his CDL License. In 2003, his dream came to fruition, and he started his own trucking company. Wismond used this as a foundation to eventually branch into other business ventures. As time progressed, he phased out the trucking business and got into real estate in 2019.
Wismond was known throughout Cumberland County as Wiz. He loved to socialize through playing dominoes with his friends on nights and especially weekends. He loved to cook traditional Jamaican dishes such as steamed fish, rice and peas, and curry goat.
He loved his family. He would always put his loved ones first regardless of his hectic schedule.
Wismond leaves to cherish in his memory his two daughters, Eilanete and Tiffany. Along with six sisters, Velma, Cutie, Nesrey, Blossom, Charm and Alvinea, and three brothers, Bell, Sanjay, and Ernest; a host of nieces and nephews, his most beloved being Simone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosalin Wollery and Uriah Brissett, and by his wife, Rosa Brissett. Sent from my iPhone
