Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Joachim Larkins announced his passing on December 27, 2022, at the age of 59. He was blessed with a long, full, and active life while being surrounded by his loving family and friends. Joachim was born to John Sr. and Johanna Larkins on June 28, 1963, in Fort Dix, New Jersey. From a young age he was known as Jack. He graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in June of 1981.
Jack enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 18 and served 20 years before ultimately retiring on January 31, 2002. He proudly served as an Air Traffic Controller for 14 years, Carrier Air Traffic Control Center Controller for 11 years, and 7 years as an instructor. His service also included 3 years at sea on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). He was awarded numerous medals, including the Overseas Service Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal; National Defense Service NDL; Southwest Asia Service Medal; Navy "E" Ribbon; Sea Service Deploy Ribbon; Meritorious Unit Commendation; Good Conduct Medal.
He will be remembered by his first love and wife of 10 years, Angela Keeton-Larkins, and his children, Jeremey Larkins (Synthia), Jordan Larkins, and Caedence Larkins. He leaves behind 3 brothers, John Larkins Jr. (Felicia), Joseph Larkins (Jonita), and James Larkins (Mary); grandchildren Marleigh Larkins, Bailey Larkins and Harlee Larkins; stepchildren Leathia Lipscomb and Carlton Lipscomb. He was preceded in death by his father, John and mother, Johanna; brothers Jeff Larkins and Jerry Larkins; sister Jeannie Williams (Tony). He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
